Brooke Mueller has voluntarily extended her rehab stay, and has even quit smoking, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Charlie Sheen's ex-wife, who lives in Malibu, checked into rehab out of state after being arrested for cocaine possession in Aspen, Colorado last year.

The mother of twin toddler sons decided that at the end of her first 30 days at rehab to extend her stay because she was benefiting so much from the treatment.

"This is a dramatic turn of events for Brooke as this is the first time she has ever voluntarily decided to stay in rehab. This program she is in is working, and Brooke is getting sober for herself, and that is the first time she has ever said that. In the past, family, friends have forced her into rehab, but not this time. Brooke is taking an active role in her sobriety," a source close to the situation.

A smoker for more than 10 years, Brooke has even kicked that unhealthy habit! "Brooke quit smoking on her own, she doesn't want to do anything unhealthy to herself anymore. Her treatment team is so impressed with her accomplishments. Brooke has said instead of smoking cigarette's, she will take vitamins!," the inside says.

Its expected Brooke will stay at the facility for another month; she has been there already for approximately seven weeks.

Mueller's rep Steve Honig had no comment on our story.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards admits she's an "alcoholic" during a segment slated to air on the show's upcoming reunion special, confirming what RadarOnline.com readers have long known as part of our ongoing coverage of the show's fascinating cast. 

As we previously reported, Kim was not at the show’s reunion, but taped a separate solo interview with Bravo's Andy Cohen in which she explained why she checked into a rehab facility as the show wound down this season.

“I’m an alcoholic,” she said. “I’m an alcoholic.”

The 47-year-old socialite aunt of Paris Hilton, whose confession is seen on a video on People, had previously admitted on the show she'd taken a cocktail of prescription pills, including Lexapro, Trazadone and Topamax.

And don't forget the time she famously fought with her sister Kyle during last season's finale, when Kyle called Kim a delusional and demented alcoholic, adding, "Mom had to die and leave this on my shoulders!”

Our friends at Star Magazine reported in their November 28 issue that Kim's brazen behavior was causing show officials to think about giving her the boot, unless she sought treatment.

“She may have to go to rehab in order to save her job on the show,” a source close to Richards told Star. “People involved with the show are concerned and might have to step in ... friends and family don’t talk about what’s going on with Kim.”

The complex personal lives of the Beverly Hills cast has made for some of reality TV's most dramatic real-life storylines, as viewers have sat in on Camille Grammer's painful break-up with superstar husband Kelsey; Eddie Cibrian's ex Brandi Glanville struggling to make friends with the sometimes-catty cast; and of course, Taylor Armstrong's troubled marriage to late husband Russell, who killed himself in August before this season began airing.

The first of the three-part Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion special airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.

The woman who lost her three children and parents in a tragic Christmas fire that destroyed her house has tried to take her own life.

Madonna Badger was hospitalized last week after a family member told the NY Daily News the mother purposely injured herself in an effort to escape the pain of losing her family.

"She is okay... She is out [of the hospital] and somewhere safe. It’s just terrible, nobody could really hold up well under the circumstances," the relative said.

Badger's Connecticut home went up in flames on December 25 after yule log embers were placed unsafely in a bag in the back mud room, taking the lives of her seven-year-old twins Grace and Sarah Badger, Lily Badger, 10, and her parents Lomer and Pauline Johnson.
Badger and her boyfriend Michael Borcina were the only survivors.

A funeral was held for those lost on January 5 in which Badger gave a moving speech saying, "When I used to hear about people losing a child I would say I could never ever, ever live through losing my babies."

“Gracie asked a thousand times if she was going to die before me. I said, ‘No. that’s never going to happen.’”

Borcina's construction company  was handling renovation work on Badger's recently purchased $1.7 million waterfront home.

The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection has said that Borcina nor his company had the right paperwork to conduct construction work in the state but did not say if they were going to launch an investigation.

Joran van der Sloot is no stranger to life in jail but his new home is a far cry from the luxuries he had grown used to during his 18 months at Lima's Castro Castro prison.

After he was sentenced to 28 years on January 13 for the May 2010 murder of Stephany Flores, van der Sloot was transferred to the high security facility of Piedras Gordas in northern Lima in response to criticism that his living conditions were too comfortable, and RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that since the move his health has been in a downward spiral.

"His health has suffered and he is not doing well there," an insider exclusively told RadarOnline.com. "Joran blames the food and the water, he says that he is depressed and feeling weak all the time."

During his time at Castro Castro, the 24-year-old Dutchman enjoyed such perks as access to books, money, calling cards, internet access - and even conjugal visits.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the convicted killer was rumored to have gotten his girlfriend pregnant while he was incarcerated. Although his former lawyer denied the baby story, he told RadarOnline.com that sex was permitted behind bars.

“Conjugal visits are allowed at the prison and women regularly visit to see inmates – Joran had girlfriends come and see him and he did have sex but he did not get any of them pregnant," said Maximo Altez Navarro.

Over the past 1 1/2 years van der Sloot bonded with both the prison guards and the other inmates, but is now kept in solitary confinement where his cunning charm can't win anyone over.

"I am very worried about his deteriorating health, " Joran's 'guardian angel' Mary Hamer exclusively told RadarOnline.com. "I am terrified and I feel powerless to help."

The radiologist from Lake City, Florida, who keeps in close contact with van der Sloot and pays his legal bills, has expressed concern in the past about his physical well-being.

"He was groggy, he was stumbling, he knocked over a glass of water, and he had a rash around his neck," she told RadarOnline.com after she visited him last December.

Things have gone from bad to worse since he was moved to Piedras Gordas, a 161,458 square foot maximum security detention center located in a barren desert-like area of Peru, 18 miles from Lima.

It is considered one of the harshest places in the Peruvian penal system, but van der Sloot worries that things could get even more extreme for him if he is sent to the notorious Challapalca Prison, in the cold and inhospitable area of Tacna.

In 2002, a special investigation into the violation of human rights resulted in a report that recommended to the Peruvian State that “the prisons at Challapalca and Yanamayo be deemed unfit to serve that purpose, and that the personnel detained at those prisons be transferred to other prisons.”

Joran's lawyer, Jose Luis Jimenez, is currently fighting to make sure that his client doesn't end his days in the frozen hell hole, and has filed an appeal against his sentence.

Jimenez claims that the three judges who sentenced van der Sloot did not take into account his prior confession, and that he never denied the murder.

Van der Sloot remains the prime suspect in the disappearance of an Alabama teen, who went missing from Aruba in 2005.

The depth of Joran van der Sloot's devious manipulative personality has been revealed first-hand in a letter written to the woman who has been paying his legal bills, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

In the handwritten mail, sent from Castro Castro prison in Lima, Peru to Mary Hamer of Lake City, Florida, the convicted killer begs her not to take any actions until he has found a way to call her.

"I hope you keep supporting me," wrote van der Sloot, in the letter obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com. "If everything goes according to plan I will be able to contact you soon."

The letter was sent after the 24-year-old Dutchman pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 28 years in jail for the May 2010 murder of Peruvian student Stephany Flores.

It appears to be a desperate plea by van der Sloot made after he learned that Hamer, who calls herself his guardian angel, had asked for $75,000 that she sent to his lawyer, Jose Luis Jimenez, to be refunded to her.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively revealed, Hamer claims that Jimenez ripped her off by saying it was for Joran's bail. "Now I find out by Peruvian law that there is no bail in Peru for murder," she said.

Later in his letter, Joran asked Mary for more money. "I need apart from the balance of $69,000 I need $1,000 for a new phone so I will be able to communicate with you again.

"Please don't take any action until we are able to speak again which if everything goes well will be within a couple of days.

"I beg you to hold on until that time so I can explain everything to you," wrote van der Sloot. "Please trust me, that's all I ask so I can prove that you have always been right about me."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, van der Sloot confessed to the murder of Flores and was sentenced on January 13 for the brutal crime. Taking into consideration time served, the 24-year-old will be eligible for release in 2038.

Later in his handwritten letter he refers to his guilty plea, revealing: "What me and Jimenez did is the best, I now still have my appeal to a higher court, which is much more serious. Every lawyer I speak to agrees."

Van der Sloot goes on include a list of costs that the pair agreed to that Jimenez withdrew in his name.

The master manipulator, who is infamous for getting women to fall at his feet, signed off to 55-year-old Hamer with words of tenderness.

"P.S. I love you but what you are doing to Mr. Jimenez is not fair. [Redacted] stole over $80,000 of your and my money. Mr. Jimenez has everything documented."

In an exclusive e-mail to RadarOnline.com, Jimenez confirmed that the letters were written by van der Sloot, he went on to claim that he has returned the $75,000 to Hamer (she denies she has received it at time of this posting), and said his client is now upset with him.

"[Joran] is very upset with me for returning the money, I did it [Monday]. Mary Hamer asked me to return it to her after listening to Joran admit to his crime," the lawyer told RadarOnline.com.

"That upset him very much and he saw me as a traitor."

He claims that it was Joran's decision to ask Mary for the money, and that he simply verified that it went into his account and never said that it would lead to "additional freedom."

"Joran is very happy with the decision we made but very upset for returning the money without his authority," revealed Jimenez.

UPDATE: Kelly was seen partying at a pre-Golden Globes event -- The Art of Elysium on Saturday night -- not a post-Golden Globes event as first reported.

After nearly three years of sobriety, Kelly Osbourne has fallen off the wagon and is back to boozing, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

The 27-year-old daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne got clean in February of 2009 after completing a rehab stint for drug and alcohol addiction, but according to several sources the fashionista is back on the bottle.

"Kelly is definitely off the wagon again -- at least when it comes to drinking," an insider tells RadarOnline.com. “I’ve seen her out drinking cocktails, beer and champagne numerous times, and I’ve seen her pretty unsteady on her feet too."

And just this past Saturday night, Kelly guzzled cocktails at The Art of Elysium event at Union Station and got so wasted (as evidenced by the exclusive photo) that she almost fell over.

"Kelly was so wasted," an eyewitness who partied with the Fashion Police host tells RadarOnline.com. "At one point she almost fell back and I had to catch her!"

According to the party pal, once Kelly gets alcohol in her system the claws come out in full force and she doesn't hold back about her constant feuding with Christina Aguilera.

"When she gets drinking her hatred for Christina Aguilera really comes out," the source said. "She spent the entire night talking about how much she hates Christina!"

The outspoken Brit and Christina have been battling for years, most recently with the newly slimmed-down Kelly poking fun at the Dirty singer's curvy new figure.

"She called me fat for years. I was never that fat," Kelly said on E! Fashion Police about Christina's appearance at the Michael Jackson tribute concert.

And in September Kelly ranted about Christina's bullying saying, "She called me fat for so many f***ing years. So you know what? F**k you! You're fat too."

"This is the side of Kelly that comes out when she's drinking," one of the sources told RadarOnline.com.

“Maybe she thinks it’s OK for her to be drinking as her past problems were pills, but as far as I know if you want to be ‘sober’ you need to be SOBER, period.”

Attempts to reach Kelly's rep for comment were unsuccessful at time of publication.
